The terms that appear on Companies House forms, filings and correspondence — defined in plain English.

A

ACSP (Authorised Corporate Service Provider)
A firm registered with Companies House to carry out identity verification for the people it files for. Accountancy and company-formation firms register as ACSPs so they can verify directors and PSCs themselves.

C

Confirmation statement
An annual Companies House filing (form CS01) confirming a company's registered details are up to date. It replaced the annual return in 2016 and does not include financial figures.
